Today at Graham Auto Repair we got to celebrate a Birthday for one of our Automotive Technicians! Meet our Automotive Technician Bret! Bret joined our Team at Graham Auto Repair in November 2020. He is married to Kellee and they have three kids: Jessica, Michael, and Douglas. Their family has a Rottweiler named Scout! Bret was born in Puyallup and he grew up in Roy, attending the Yelm High School. He got into repairing vehicles by working on his own Motocross Bikes. As time went by he really got into Hot Rods! He has been working in the Automotive Field since April 1986. His favorite thing about working in this industry is having a good end result. Digital Vehicle Health Inspection At Graham Auto Repair our Automotive Technicians will complete a Digital Health Inspection of your vehicle with every service. This is a courtesy service with no additional cost for you. During the vehicle inspection our Technicians take pictures of everything that they find. The inspection includes a walk-around where they inspect things like the overall body condition, the headlights, windshield, tire depth, vehicle mileage and warning lights. They also perform a Test Drive where they inspect the horn, chassis, parking brake, engine performance, shifting, steering, braking, and acceleration. They check all of your fluids, including the engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid. They inspect the battery, spark plugs, air filter, drive belts and cooling system hoses. They check for fluid leaks and perform a visual inspection of the brakes, tires and struts.     Brakes for Breasts 2020 Results   Watch this video for an update on how much money we were able to donate toward the Brakes for Breasts Fundraiser for 2020. Thank you to everyone who came to Graham Auto Repair during the campaign to have their Brakes Serviced at our Shop! Our donation was made possible because of you! Update from the 2020 Brakes for Breasts Campaign: 2020 was the 10 year anniversary for the Brakes for Breasts Fundraiser, and it was their best fundraising year since they started! They surpassed $200k in donations this year, making their total donations over the past 10 years over $1 million dollars!     Mobile Blood Drive at Graham Auto Repair In October I had the opportunity to meet with Racheal, the Director of Donor Resources, from Cascade Regional Blood Services. I asked her a few questions about what it is like to donate blood with them, especially with social distancing and safety measures. I was able to go down to one of their Mobile Blood Drive sites and walk through the steps of donating blood to make a video for you, and in preparation for this blog. Then, in November, I got to donate blood at our joint Mobile Blood Drive with CrossFit Deluge here in Graham, WA. Just a little bit of personal information for anyone who is reading this and may be nervous about donating blood - I was very nervous before donating blood this November! Brakes for Breasts Fundraising Campaign Free Brake Pads or Brake Shoes In October at Graham Auto Repair     During the Month of October, Graham Auto Repair in Pierce County, WA, along with more than 100 Independent Auto Repair Shops across the United States, are raising funds for a Breast Cancer Vaccine as part of the Brakes for Breast fundraiser. For every Brake Service that we perform during the campaign, our customers will receive Free Brake Pads for their service. Napa Standard Parts of Greater Pierce County has partnered with us by agreeing to donate the Brake Pads for each Brake Service performed at Graham Auto Repair during the campaign. Customers will be responsible to pay for the labor costs and any other parts that may be necessary. At the end of the month, we will total up all Brake Services that we performed during the campaign and donate 10% of that total to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund.
